It's finally here. No, really. It is. Bathtup warm water. Peaky, hollow, grinding beach breaks. More left points than anywhere this side of Indo. And a long way from San Diego day-trippers. With the publicity generated by the recent ASP World Tour contest held "Somewhere in Mexico" in what many of the pros said were the best waves they had ever surfed, the time to check out Mainland Mex is now, before it's overrun. And here's the best news: The ASP contest wasn't held in Michoacan or Colima. So while the surf magazines keep sending crowds down for a big surf meeting "Somewhere in Mexico," you can go explore what they're ignoring.
